My actual color palette for the new office

I know that I blogged here of my wishes and whims for fabric for my new office - the fabric I posted was $20.00/yard on eBay - way more than I want/can spend. So today I took a trip across the river to my favorite discount store MARDENS and found my new color palette - no chocolate brown, but I do have the lovely ice blue, this time with ivory, black and silver grey, and I got it ALL for $20.00!!!

I'm really happy and can't wait to get at it!

Ok, I love that, and as much as I love chocolate brown and blue, I think in a few years that combination will look very 2007. Your combination, however, is classic, IMHO. I hope it will be inspiring for you.

great point anj - the chocolate is warmer, but i think it might make it a bit dark.

i'll post a picture of the space so you can see the window - it's on an angle - so there are no curtains - but i have to close in a cupboard and thought it might soften up the room to do it with fabric - so the bottom piece of fabric will be used for that and the other 3 (and maybe a piece of the curtain?) will be stretched over cheap canvases and used as art until I can afford or get art that inspires me in the office too.

I'm really excited about it.

Oh, and you have to go and read Christy's comment on the last color palette - it's amazing!

Heidi ... I've not commented here yet, but I've been following this. Your colors are stunning!! I'm drooling. I'm a quilter and my favorite part of planning a quilt is picking the colors. Those fabrics just leapt off the screen at me. Your room is going to be so beautiful.
