Dream Assignment

My long time blogger bud Jen Lemen has the biggest dreams of almost anyone I know - and one of those dreams is actually within her reach and you can help make it happen.

Jen is a Shutter Sister, mom, artist, poet, blogger-extraordinaire and she and her friend Stephanie have put together a Dream Assignment proposal and it's tied for 5th place right now - can you help them by registering and pushing them up to the top? Pic Hope:

Epiphany

Today is the Feast of the Epiphany and also the third anniversary of our arrival in New Brunswick.

A few months after our arrival we found out that the New Brunswick motto is "Spem Reduxit" - literally "Hope was restored" - it is so true to our story. Epiphany comes in so many ways.

May you find one today.

(I took this picture at St. Saviour's church in Bar Harbor, Maine - I don't know if it is one of the Tiffany stained glass or not, it is very beautiful though)

Weathervanes for Kel

My Ozi blogger friend Kel has a beautiful post on interior weathervanes and compasses - both things we here in the Turner house love. This eastern seaboard is dotted with unique, wonderful weathervanes and we spend much our our travels with camera in hand trying to capture them - these are some of my favorites. Enjoy!

Here come the girls

I highlighted a work that was being done with the women of Sierra Leone by Ann Jones and the IRC with blogging and digital cameras. They had given digital cameras to women to document their lives and it changed things so miraculously. Tiny technology empowered these women so beautifully - they decided it was time for some girls to tell their stories too.

Today is the first post in the series and it is filled with hope and I can't wait to read more:

The View Out My Kitchen Window

Isn't this lovely? It's the view out my kitchen window. Far better than the next door neighbor's kitchen I used to see in Pennsylvania! I remember she used to hang a light up Santa Claus in her window from November 1st - January 1st - this is much better!

We're high enough up here to see the clouds and the spire of the Catholic church just two doors down. Much better motivation to do those dishes!
